Weight Loss Programmes

Derby residents can apply for our adult weight management programmes and Live IT programme for children.  These include:

Whilst some sessions are still being delivered virtually, face to face sessions are returning in phases to tie in with the key dates outlined in the government's four stage roadmap. Leisure centres re-opened on 12 April 2021 and clients can access the gym, swimming and exercise classes (from 17 May) as part of their 12 month programme.  Led walks and outdoor exercise sessions have also restarted.  New starter meetings, weigh-ins and other indoor sessions will follow after 21 June if easing restrictions permit.

The Live IT programme has re-opened it's real life family fitness and gym sessions but these must be booked in advance by clients already registered.

Clients whose programmes were most affected last year have been offered extra time on the programme in addition to any extra time they may have received during the first two lockdowns.

Stopping Smoking

Because smoking harms the immune system, smokers are less protected against infections like coronavirus.  The good news is that it's never too late to quit. People registered to a Derby doctors can apply and book a telephone appointment to stop smoking online.

We are offering telephone support to both existing and future stop smoking clients with home delivery options for Nicotine Replacement Therapy. Champix prescription requests will need to be collected from clients’ local pharmacies. Advisors will communicate treatment pick up/collection arrangements with their clients.
