Health Checks with Livewell
If you’re aged 40-74, you can get a free NHS Health Check with Livewell. It’s just a few simple tests that checks things like your height, weight, cholesterol and blood pressure to make sure you stay healthier for longer. Our friendly Livewell team can help you find ways to prevent health problems such as dementia, diabetes, kidney disease and strokes.
There will be a simple blood test to measure your cholesterol level and you will get these results during the appointment. Please note that you do not need to fast for any of the tests.
To be entitled to a Health Check you need to be:
- Registered to a Derby GP practice
- Aged between 40 and 74
- Not diagnosed with heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes or kidney disease
- Not had an NHS Health Check in the last five years
