Experience

I recently came from college where I studied business. Doing well in my course allowed me to get my dream apprenticeship and it gave me valuable experience of working in a team through different forms of project work.  I also had the opportunity to be around some great people every day. From a young age I wanted to work for Derby City Council, and I made it my personal mission to achieve that goal.  Whilst I had doubts at times, I’m so thankful and proud of myself for achieving this, the hard work definitely paid off. I’m very excited to be a part of Livewell and to see where this fantastic service goes in the future.

Job Role

I am a Business Administration Apprentice in Livewell’s Customer Contact Team.   As part of my role I book appointments for clients and answer any questions that they may have.  I also help with referrals that come in from the hospitals, GP practices and other areas of the Council.

Me in three words

Ambitious, driven, thoughtful

Favourite meal

Any kind of salad without tomatoes.

My passion/interests

I am a huge football fan, but also enjoy other sports such as boxing and tennis. I also enjoy staying active in any way that I can and making valuable memories with my close friends and family.

Best achievement

Getting this job by far. It was a difficult journey but seeing the reaction of my friends and family, who have seen the work I have put in to get here, is something I will never forget.

What you might be surprised to hear about me

I really enjoy music, particularly writing and production of music, it’s one thing I would love to learn to be able to do one day.

My top lifestyle tips

Try to incorporate some form of exercise into your day, whether that be at home or outside, even if it's just ten minutes. It is not only important from a physical perspective, but also has mental health benefits and can help clear your mind.

My favourite quote

“If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough.”
