Bubbly Cathy started with Livewell as a temp nine years ago and is now one of our most experienced advisors delivering health checks, stop smoking support, walks, nutrition courses and even supporting the customer team on the odd occasion. She loves hiking, swimming, travelling and taking to the sky in vintage planes!

I joined Livewell as a temp whilst looking for a proper job – that was back in 2012 and I’ve been here ever since!
I started out in the Customer Contact Team so got a good understanding of all the aspects of the service before training for my current role. I think I am learning all the time, a little more from each client we speak to and support.
I deliver NHS Health Checks as part of the national cardiovascular disease prevention programme and I also support clients to stop smoking. It’s a really good feeling to support someone to make the healthier choices they want to change, to improve their health. I also support the Walking for Health programme, joining the friendly walks when I can and leading the Darley Abbey Walk – please join us if you can.
I deliver our Lose Weight Feel Great course for clients and I’m responsible for some of the Social Media posts on Facebook – usually the ones with a bad joke involved. I also love supporting the fantastic Liveability clients when Mark the specialist advisor, needs an extra pair of hands.

Probably a nice veggie pizza, but most food that involves cheese – Gromit!
Walking preferably in the Peaks or Lake District – I dream of living there one day. Swimming as it’s good for my physical and mental health. I love music and going to concerts but have a very eclectic taste. I love getting into a good book and gardening. Skiing too - if my knees and hips still allow me!
Always my family – so proud of my two grown up sons. Also, a bit proud of myself for gaining a degree as a mature student.
