Customer Contact Assistant, Elaine joined the team in September 2020.  She brings with her a wealth of customer service experience from a variety of roles and is already making a positive impact on our clients with her friendly and cheerful nature.  Passionate about protecting our environment, Elaine enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone to try new and completely different things from Samba drumming to wood turning.  Find out more about our new team member…..

Experience

I have had a variety of jobs over my working life, including working in an inner-city school assisting children with special needs, at an alcohol and drug clinic, and helping students at the University of Derby.  I also worked as a Housing Needs Advisor when I lived in Swindon for a while.  I enjoy being in environments where I can offer support or help to others.

I am the Customer Contact Team Assistant. I help to book people onto the programmes and give advice on what we have to offer.

My favourite meal

Not sure I have a favourite, but I usually cook from scratch using veg out of my garden.  If I had to choose it would probably have to be a chicken roast dinner.

My passions/interests

I care about trying to protect the planet and have supported climate change groups.  I meditate when I can and practise an energy healing called Quantum Touch.   I like to try new things and last year tried my hand at wood turning for the first time.  I quite like the odd festival too…Glastonbury has to be my favourite.

My best achievement

I think it must be that I am a self-published author.   I’m not that good at promoting my book, so it will never be a best seller!!

I am part of a Samba Band – still learning but really enjoying it.

Be mindful of your body and listen to it. 

Be kind to yourself and just do your best.  That might differ from day to day, but as long as you know it was your best ‘that day’ then that’s what counts.
