With a wealth of customer service experience, Tom joined Livewell in April and leads the service’s Customer Contact Team. As the cog in the Livewell wheel, the busy team supports people to not only join the service but book onto sessions and receive important information throughout their time on the programme. They also answer a range of enquiries from health and other professionals. Chatty Tom is an avid Rams fan and a proud first-time father. Find out what else makes him tick…..
I’ve been involved in delivering a great customer experience for my entire working life. Starting off working part time when studying, I really enjoyed doing the right thing and helping people. Over the years I’ve provided support over phones, live chat, email and even video chat. After running a team in a call centre for over five years, I was looking for a fresh challenge and Livewell seemed the perfect opportunity to help support people in my home city to make positive changes.
As the Customer Contact Team Leader for Livewell, I’m responsible for making sure you have a great experience if you need to contact us. I’m here to support our wonderful customer contact team in delivering our friendly, positive and helpful support to our clients, advisors and healthcare professionals. I’ll also be taking calls and replying to emails at times, so if you get through to me, you can put a face to the voice.
Me in 3 words
Supportive, Honest, Friendly.
My favourite meal
Anything involving pasta!
The big one (apart from my family) is Derby County – I’ve been a season ticket holder for 10 years and loved going to the football with my Dad. I’ve now got to pass on the love of football to my daughter, she’ll be a 4th generation rams fan if I have my way!
My best achievement
Becoming a father for the first time last year – it’s been a complete rollercoaster of emotions, bodily fluids and surprises, and I wouldn’t change any of it.
What you might be surprised to hear about me
I’m not really that surprising so here’s a random fact; Despite being left handed, I’ve broken 3 bones in my life (foot, hand, knee) and they’ve all been on the right hand side of my body.
My top lifestyle tips
Make sure you do at least one thing for YOU every day. Life is really busy, so I try to do something for myself – sometimes it’s taking an extra long shower to give me time to unwind, sometimes it’s lying on the sofa with my headphones on.
My favourite quote
“It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop” – Confucius
