Taking up jogging can seem a scary prospect but our virtual challenge based on the NHS Couch to 5k programme will help you gradually work up towards running 5km in 9 weeks.  The running plan is for absolute beginners but if that seems too daunting then you can use the same plan to build up to walking 5km in one go.

Taking on this challenge can help boost your confidence and your fitness.  Running regularly is an effective way to lose weight, relieve stress and has even been shown to combat depression.
